Arriving with respectfully minimal hype, Jessy Lanza's supple, subtle debut album 'Pull My Hair Back' might well be one of Hyperdub's finest releases in 2013. Galvanised by sublime production from her fellow Hamilton, Ontario native, Junior Boys' Jeremy Greenspan, it's just so dreamy I can barely write this without shutting my eyes and and doing the smuggest soul gurn. It seems they've each found their perfect muse - Jessy with her classical vocal training and Greenspan with one of the sweetest, most aware pop touches in the game - amounting to a chronically lush and eloquent cybeR&B love-in which, as the label puts it, is 'graceful and erotic without the gratuitous close ups', and 'icey and sensual, sweet without rotting your teeth.' Lanza's vocals float atop and within the frothiest champagne bubble arpeggios and padded bass bump in 'Giddy', and ring out clear against cyber-sprung slow-fast ticks in '5785021' beside the magically sparse single track, 'Kathy Lee', whilst the throbbing 'F*ck Diamond' has deepest house potential, and 'Keep Moving' is supremely debonaire disco without the schmaltz.
'Against The Wall' takes it to the boudoir with pill-flushed sensitivity, and 'Pull My Hair Back' nails padded 808s to breathy, ecstatic vocal flights, and the creamed electro bassline boogie of 'As If' trembles into the melancholic kiss off tristesse of 'Strange Emotion'.
Sabina January 18, 2017 Dear Sandra, As we have near similar hair types – and you’re my preferred curly hair tutor! – I thought perhaps you can help me out: Because I work in uniform at a hospital, I’m required to wear my hair up every day. I’m happy playing around with different styles, but can never overcome my one problem: Ridges/lumps/bumps/sharks/fins – whatever you may call them – are eternally present in my hair peaking up from my scalp and through my curls when I pull back the hair. I suppose this is because it’s too wavy to hold the curl and too curly to sit straight. Do you ever have this problem and, if so, how do you get those lumps to “sit tight”?
Kind regards Sabina. Marianne May 31, 2017 Hey Sandra! Found this and I always struggle with simply putting my hair in a ponytail.
Leaves so little volume around my face and a sort of weird bouncy boing of hair in the back that doesn’t hang down entirely (I am not at my preferred length yet). The part I struggle with is that the bottom layer of hair – the one where I would have to pull those two strands from – lose their curl pattern very easily, even without me pulling at them. How do you suggest I deal with that if I were to use this method? Dream Day Wedding Bella Italia Game Torrent Game 7 Sins Apk Android. on this page.
