Hey folks, I was pretty unhappy with the gradients I would get from images- either from light pollution or from vignetting (as in the example above). All I know as far as programming is MATLAB, so I've spent the past month making a program which subtracts with from the raw file before it goes to DSS. The idea is it should be possible to identify a trend in pixel values from either a localized gradient (nearby light pollution) or from an overall gradient (lens effect).
